It is the most accessible of all Kenyan wildlife parks, being only a few miles from the city centre. Its incongruous suburban location makes it virtually unique in Africa and adds an intriguing twist to the usual safari experience, pitting the plentiful wildlife against a backdrop of looming sky-scrapers, speeding vehicles and jets coming into land. Gazelles, warthogs, zebras, giraffes, ostriches, buffalos, lions, cheetahs and leopard are sighted here. The landscape is a mixture of savanna and swampland, and it is home to the highest concentration of black rhinos in the world. Over 550 bird spices have been recorded!
